The Eden Valley Charity Cycle Ride
taking place on Sunday 12th June to raise money for the MS Society.
The
bicycle ride is a celebration of the fantastic traffic-free quiet and
picturesque roads and beautiful sleepy villages that make for perfect
road cycling in the Eden Valley. There are three different routes to
choose from to suit all abilities and the cycle is not a race; all
participants are encouraged to enjoy the day at their own pace. The
cycle has been organised by sister hotels; The Fat Lamb in
Ravenstonedale and The Kings Arms in Temple Sowerby which means that all
routes have the perfect benefit of finishing at the pub!
The three route choices are:
12 Miles - Start and finish at The Kings Arms in Temple Sowerby
24 Miles - Start and finish at The Fat Lamb in Ravenstonedale
47 Miles - Start at The Fat Lamb, halfway stop at The Kings Arms, finish at The Fat Lamb
Entry
is £10 regardless of which route you choose. £5 is a donation to the MS
Society and the other £5 covers the event costs. Your entry fee
includes pre-cycle refreshments as well as refreshments at each of the
check points on your chosen route. The event is very relaxed and the
main aim is to enjoy the cycling and the company on the day and to pass
on the good vibes by raising money for charity while we are at it.
