Looking forward to seeing you all at the Keswick
pool for Sunday’s ride. I had planned to go to Elterwater and I have
been out to look at the Dunmail crossing. It was described by the
defenders as “impossible” ... I will tell you more when I see you. So, I
plan on cycling along Derwentwater, over one of the passes to
Buttermere then back to keswick via Fang’s Brow and Loweswater,
Cockermouth and the Derwent valley. Cafes available on route and two
bike shops to visit in Cockermouth if you want. The route may be shorter
than the advertised 50 ish but it will be hillier.
